a whole new world

Joye, Lorie, Lorie’s guy friend Sherwin, and me were all seated with 2 pairs facing each other at Soju Bang’s long high table. Some random freak who was drinking San Mig Lights outside earlier was seated on the other end of the table alone with 2 beers in front of him. It was kind of annoying, how he was conspicuously listening to our conversation.

Even more annoying than that was how he LOUDLY kept on making side comments on how much food I was ordering while I was still waiting for the others. Duh… not to be nasty or cruel… rude things like that are a major pet peeve.

We were so relieved once we had left after eating. Hence, this conversation while all four of us were inside Lorie’s car:

Me: Nakakainis yung mamang naka-yellow… kanina, nung dumating na yung order ko tapos wala pa kayo, nagko-comment sya ng “Wow, ang dami naman nyan.” Sabi ko nga, “Not talking to you.”
Lorie: Hello, ako din kaya noh, naiinis sa kanya. Bakit ba kasi sya naglalasing dun? May gusto ata sa’yo, Pam! (I make a gagging sound at this)
Sherwin: Kahit lasing ako, di ko papatulan yun noh.
Me: Ako kahit desperada na, hindi ko papatulan yun.
Lorie: Ako, kahit i-Ativan nya, manlalaban ako!

This had everyone doubling over with laughter.
